Traffic Quality Analyst
The Traffic Quality Analyst is in charge of ensuring the quality of the network. This includes making certain the network is mapped correctly to meet our Advertisers' needs as well as working to eliminate click fraud.

Responsibilities Include:
• Develop quantitative analyses, custom models and ad hoc reports to effectively monitor performance, trends, and quality of our network
• Analyze disparate data sources to find obfuscated patterns
• Support our Account Managers in remediation of traffic quality issues
• Provide on-call support for quality issues

Requirements:
• 2 years experience as an analyst
• Excellent Excel and advanced SQL skills
• Experience identifying click fraud
• Experience with databases and data warehousing
• High attention to detail
• Experience in online advertising
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Director, Traffic Analysis
We are currently seeking a Director of Traffic Analysis to join the LookSmart Team.

Responsibilities Include:
• Analyzing ad network traffic performance to optimally match traffic supply to advertiser demand
• Developing tools and infrastructure to enable account managers to manage traffic sources for their accounts
• Providing second level support for Account Managers
• Doing deep analysis/data mining of ad network traffic patterns. Developing and maintaining formulas and algorithms to enable sustainable growth of partner business and direct business.
• Building Traffic Analysis function as a core competency and competitive advantage
• Managing and mentoring a small team of analysts

 Requirements:
• 3 years experience leading traffic analysis function for a major ad network
• 5 years experience in applied data analysis
• Strong domain expertise in on-line search advertising
• BA in computer science, statistical analysis or related field required, MS or PhD desirable.
• Exceptional analytical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Highly collaborative and team-oriented work style

 

Director of Business Development – Traffic Acquisition
We are currently seeking a Director of Business Development, Traffic Acquisition to join the LookSmart Team.

Responsibilities Include:
• Procuring search/query traffic from publishers, aggregators and other traffic sources
• Negotiating business deals with distribution partners.
• Driving the effective adoption and integration of new distribution feeds into the ad network.
• Managing the ongoing relationships with existing publishers for consistent delivery and performance of traffic from those sources.
• Managing a small team of account managers and analysts.

Requirements:
• 3 years experience leading traffic acquisition function for a major ad network
• 5 years experience in business development
• Strong domain expertise in online search advertising
• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Highly collaborative and team-oriented work style
• BA/BS required

 

Senior Business Analyst
LookSmart is currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst. In this role you will work with our account managers to define success metrics for our advertisers, and then work with the account management team to develop strategies that will beat those metrics.

Responsibilities Include:
• Develop quantitative analyses, custom models and ad hoc reports to effectively monitor performance, trends, and opportunities of the ad network
• Work with advertisers to help define their success metrics
• Develop recommendations to beat advertiser’s desired metrics based on best practices
• Recommend optimizations to account managers and assess the effectiveness of those recommendations
• Work with product team to recommend enhancements to the AdCenter application that will support optimization of advertiser’s accounts

• 2 years experience as a Business Analyst
• Excellent Excel and basic SQL skills
