Mobile PPC Revenue Continuing to Grow

Have you noticed in the past few months when you are using mobile friendly websites or applications on your smart phone, the advertisements that have started to appear on the bottom of the screen?  This is a new and growing trend in the pay per click advertising industry.  Mobile pay per click advertising has become increasingly popular and is proving itself as a very profitable venture.

A white paper published by Marin Software actually stated that pay per click ads are more then twice as likely to be clicked on a smart phone than on a desktop or laptop.  The other major benefit of mobile pay per click is the fact that it is much more cost efficient for pay per click managers - to give you a better idea, the average mobile pay per click campaign costs about 50% less than pay per click campaigns on desktops.

In June, smartphones were responsible for about 5.6% of clicks and tablets were responsible for 4.37% of clicks, while desktops were only at 2.65%.

The major aspects of mobile pay per click advertising is your content.  You have a small amount of ad space so you need to utilize it as best as you possibly can in order to attract the user.  So ensure you utilize the space and provide a CLEAR call-to-action.  One strategy that has also proven to be extremely successful is offering mobile vouchures through your mobile pay per click campaigns.  For example, offering a vouchure that is only usable on the users mobile phone is incentive to the user and will more than likely results in a click through.  

The industry of pay per click agencies in the United States has seen a 52% rise in click throughs and 85% increase in impresions in the second quarter of this year.
