IAB Releases Internet Advertising Revenue Report for 2009
Earlier today the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) released their annual revenue report for internet advertising. Although overall internet ad revenue was down slightly from 2008, Q4 was a banner quarter with a record high of $6.3 billion in spend, indicating, according to PwC Assurance Partner David Silverman, that the “worst of the economic impact on Internet advertising is over and that the seeds of growth have been planted.” Search continues to lead the way with 47% of all online ad spending in 2009, which, of course, came as no surprise to us!
