Analyze Your Competition

Business owners and managers sometimes have too much "pride" to research their competition, but the truth is, researching your competition doesn't mean you are lacking creativity, it just shows that you want to learn what your competition is doing so you can do it better :). So you should be analyzing each move your competition is making.

Test Your Creatives

Don't just create one ad and leave it - you should be testing out a few different creatives to see which ones produce the most clicks and have the highest click through rates.  You want to ensure your ads are visually appealing so they attract the user's attention.  Sometimes it's best to use some kind of an incentive to lure interest such as a giveaway or freebie offer.

Take Advantage of Facebook's Targeting Tools

Facebook's targeting tools are nothing short of amazing!  You need to remember that the more you can target, the better return on investment you'll get.  No point in attracting tons of clicks if only 10% of those clicks are ACTUALLY interested in your products or services.  So ensure you chose your target audience carefully to get the most bang for your buck!

Hopefully these tips have helped you in better understanding how to utilize paid advertising on Facebook.  Stay tuned for more great blog posts on paid advertising on social networks next week!  Don't forget to follow us on Twitter at @LookSmartSearch.
